Kings XI Punjab openers Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul have set the record for the highest ever partnership by Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal shared a 183-runs partnership stand against Rajasthan Royals in the 9th match of the 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah.
The previous record for the highest partnership stands by Indians in IPL was between Kolkata Knight Riders’ Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa in IPL 2017.
This is also the highest first-wicket partnership in IPL and the second-highest partnership stand in IPL. The highest partnership stands in IPL is between Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh for the second wicket for Kings XI Punjab against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2011.
In the ongoing match against Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab posted a total os 223 runs with help of 106 runs form Mayank Agarwal and 69 runs contribution from KL Rahul.
