The BCCI on Friday, announced India’s squad for the upcoming two-match Test series and three ODIs against the West Indies starting from July 12. India are also scheduled to play five T20Is and the squad for the same will be announced later.

While Rohit Sharma will continue as the captain, Ajinkya Rahane, who made a comeback to the Test team for the World Test Championship final, will return as the vice-captain.

Youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal, who made his presence felt during IPL 2023 and accompanied the Indian squad to WTC Final as a stand-by, has received his maiden call-up.
Young guns like Ruturaj Gaikwad, and pacer Mukesh Kumar have also received their maiden call-ups while veteran players like Cheteshwar Pujara and Mohammed Shami have been dropped.
Pacer Navdeep Saini is also back in the squad.

India’s ODI squad for West Indies Tour
While Rohit Sharma is the captain, Hardik Pandya has been named the vice-captain.
Sanju Samson and Jaydev Unadkat have been included in the 50-over squad of the Indian team.
Left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh – who is a regular feature in the T20Is – has been ignored by the selectors in the ODIs. Jaydev Unadkat is the only left-arm pacer for the West Indies ODI series.
