The Jamaica Tallawahs have announced their retentions for the 2021 Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2021) which runs from 28 August to 19 September in St Kitts & Nevis.
Jamaica Tallawahs have retained 7 players including West Indies all-rounders Andre Russell and Carlos Brathwaite as well as Rovman Powell and Chadwick Walton.
Fidel Edwards returned to the CPL in 2020 and he has been held on to for the 2021 season after impressing with his pace last year. The Tallawahs also retained left-arm spinner Verasammy Permaul and their ICC Americas player from last season, Ryan Persaud.
Players Retained: Andre Russell, Carlos Brathwaite, Rovman Powell, Chadwick Walton, Fidel Edwards, Veerasammy Permaul and Ryan Persaud.
Players Released: Sandeep Lamichhane, Glenn Phillips, Oshane Thomas, Asif Ali, Preston McSween, Jermaine Blackwood, Nicholas Kirton, Ramaal Lewis and Nkrumah Bonner.
