After a long wait, Indian Premier League is returning in September in UAE and with this return, Chennai Super Kings’ skipper MS Dhoni also gears up to return to IPL 2020.
MS Dhoni had started training for the 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) and visited the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) indoor facility in Ranchi to get some batting practice by facing bowling machines.
“He (Dhoni) visited the JSCA International Stadium Complex last week. He practised at the indoor facility using bowling machine,” a Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) office-bearer told the New Indian Express.
“He did batting practice for two days over the weekend but has not returned since. I honestly don’t know what are his plans or whether he will come back for training. We only know he has visited the facility for practice,” he added.
If one were to go by reports, Dhoni used to train regularly at the JSCA facility for the IPL 2020 before the nationwide lockdown. Dhoni can make the best of the JSCA training facility in Ranchi before CSK squad is expected to assemble in Chennai on August 20 ahead of the team taking off for the UAE.
