On Monday, England National Cricket Selectors have announced the 13-man squad for the first Test against West Indies starting from July 8, at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton.
Joe Root is unavailable due to the birth of his second child so Ben Stokes will lead England as the 81st England men’s Test captain. Joe Root will self-isolate for seven days before joining up with the squad ahead of the second Test at Emirates Old Trafford, starting on July 16.

ECB have also announced the nine reserved player for the first test.
James Bracey, Sam Curran, Ben Foakes, Dan Lawrence, Jack Leach, Saqib Mahmood, Craig Overton, Ollie Robinson and Olly Stone.
