After coming across Tennis player Sumit Nagal’s heartfelt confession, Gatorade have signed a 3-year association with highest-ranked Indian singles tennis player.
In news reports published in the early hours of 20th September, Sumit Nagal, lamented over financial troubles and hardships of an athlete’s life. Sumit stated that he is not getting enough support despite being India’s top-ranked tennis player and is left with not more than INR 80,000 left in his bank account.
Even with the remunerations received from his associated Tennis organizations and his earnings across tournaments, Sumit expressed his concerns about supporting his training and not being able to lead a standard lifestyle. This news follows a year of success on the court and hardships off-court

Sumit Nagal is undoubtedly one of the shining stars of Indian tennis at the age of 26. A four-time ATP Challenger Tour champion and a junior Wimbledon doubles champion, Sumit is currently the highest-ranked Indian singles tennis player.
Since 2018, he has been a regular member of India’s national Davis Cup squad and is well-known for winning a match at the Tokyo Olympics and is the first Indian man since Leander Paes in 1996 to win a singles match at the Olympics.
He made his Grand Slam debut in 2019 at the US Open against Roger Federer and is the youngest Indian to qualify for a Grand Slam singles event main draw in the last 25 years.
