After few setbacks, Chennai Super Kings finally received a piece of big good news. Deepak Chahar and 11 supports staffs of CSK who tested positive for COVID-19 a week earlier had tested negative.
All the members expect Rututraj Gaikwad have tested negative twice, on the 13th and 14th day of quarantine.
“Except for the Indian batsman, who is in quarantine, all others have come out. The Indian fast bowler has tested negative twice and is back,” Kasi Viswanathan, CSK CEO said ESPNcricinfo.
The team also put out a picture of the India seamer in training, with a cheeky caption: “Deeback Chahar!”

However, Ruturaj Gaikwad is still in quarantine and will be tested once his isolation period gets over. Deepak Chahar still hasn’t started training and will have to undergo a few more tests to meet the BCCI protocols.
Chahar and Gaikwad both had to quarantine for 14 days and then return two negative tests before they could join up with the rest of the squad. Gaikwad’s quarantine reportedly ends on September 12.
