Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) today announced the signing of 16-year-old Afghanistan spinner Allah Ghazanfar as a replacement for Mujeeb Ur Rahman, who has been sidelined for the current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) due to an injury.
Afghanistan mystery spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman was ruled out of the tournament with a sprain on his finger.

Ghazanfar, also a mystery spinner, made his international debut earlier this month during the ODI series against Ireland, and has represented Afghanistan in 2 ODIs.
He was Afghanistan’s second-highest wicket-taker at the recently concluded Under-19 World Cup, taking eight wickets at an average of 16.75.

The youngster has played 3 T20s and 6 List A matches and has 5 and 4 wickets respectively against his name. He joins KKR for his base price of INR 20 lakhs.
