Gujarat Titans (GT) have roped in Karnataka’s wicketkeeper-batter BR Sharath as the replacement for Robin Minz for the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024).
Earlier this month, Robin suffered minor injuries after a bike accident and was admitted to a hospital in Ranchi. Minz was on a Kawasaki super-bike when he lost control and made contact with another bike.

Back in December 2023, the Gujarat Titans roped in Minz for a whopping INR 3.60 crore in the IPL 2024 Auction. Minz also became the first Adivasi cricketer to be a part of the IPL.
The Titans had to engage in an intense bidding war with Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Mumbai Indians (MI) and SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) before securing his services.

Sharath, a wicketkeeper-batter, has represented Karnataka in the Indian domestic circuit. Sharath has so far featured in 28 T20s and played 20 first-class games, along with 43 List A matches. he has 328 runs to his name in T20 cricket. BR Sharath will join Gujarat Titans for his base price of INR 20 lakhs.
