Bengaluru FC, on Saturday, announced that they had signed an extension with Bangalore Baptist Hospital, who will continue as their Official Medical Partner through the upcoming season of the Indian Super League (ISL 2022-23).
As part of the deal, Baptist Hospital will provide ambulances for all its matches during the course of the season, and medical assistance to the Blues’ senior team and age group teams.
“We are extremely happy to continue with Bangalore Baptist Hospital, who have been with us since our 2019-20 campaign, and helped us with various requirements throughout the pandemic. Medical assistance and aid from the expert hands is vital in sport, and even more so at BFC, where we have the first team and several age-group teams,” said club CEO Mandar Tamhane.
Speaking at the signing of the MoU at the Bangalore Baptist Hospital, Dr Spurgeon R, CEO, and Director of Bangalore Baptist Hospital expressed his pleasure at joining hands with the Durand Cup champions.
“We are very glad to be able to assist Bengaluru FC as they return to the stadium for the Indian Super League. More than providing medical aid, we are looking to help the club stay fit through the season with our injury prevention methods, early detection of ailments and more. I wish the team all the luck for their campaign,” said Dr Spurgeon.
The Blues take on NorthEast United FC in their opening encounter of the 2022-23 Hero Indian Super League campaign, set to begin at the Kanteerava Stadium on October 8th.
