Ahead of the upcoming season of the Indian Super League (ISL 2024-25), Mumbai City FC confirmed the departure of midfielder Alberto Noguera, whose contract expires on Friday, May 31. The Spaniard bids farewell to the club after two successful seasons with the Islanders, winning two trophies.
Noguera joined the club in July 2022 on a free transfer and proved instrumental in the team’s triumph in the 2022-23 season, clinching the League Winners’ Shield during a record-breaking 18-game unbeaten streak to secure the league title.
Having extended his contract for another year before the start of the 2023-24 season, Noguera provided crucial goals and assists, culminating in lifting the 2023-24 ISL Cup.
With 47 appearances across all competitions and 11 goal contributions, Noguera helped the team win the ISL League Winners’ Shield and the ISL Cup during his two-year stay.
