Ahead of the upcoming season of the Indian Super League (ISL 2024-25), Bengaluru FC have signed Spanish defensive midfielder Pedro Capó. The Spaniard joins the Blues on a one-year deal and will immediately step in to fill the gap left by Keziah Veendorp, who parted ways with the club last week. Primarily a defensive midfielder, Capó can also operate as a centre-back if needed.

The 33-year-old boasts an extensive playing career, with 454 matches under his belt, during which he has scored 23 goals and provided two assists.
Expressing his delight at signing with Bengaluru FC, Capó said, “I’m really glad to have signed with Bengaluru FC, one of the best clubs in India. The opportunity to come to India presented itself to me a few years ago, but I felt the time was not right. My conversations with Gerard (Zaragoza) have given me a lot of enthusiasm, and a desire to perform and I think now is the right time for me to move to India and live an intense experience.”

“Pedro is a player with immense experience in the Spanish Segunda B and one who I am sure will do well for us. He’s a leader on the pitch, and both his previous teams earned promotion to La Liga 2. He’s very good at organizing a team’s defensive shape, and one whose tactical intelligence and physical presence will be crucial to our efforts this season. I’m looking forward to having him join the group,” Zaragoza said.
