Ahead of the 11th edition Indian Super League (ISL 2024-25), Jamshedpur FC has announced the departure of Indian midfielder Jitendra Singh, the club announced through their social media handles on Sunday.
Singh, who represented India at the U17 FIFA World Cup, joined the Men of Steel in 2019 from Indian Arrows. Primarily operating as a centre-back, Singh transitioned to the role of a defensive midfielder during his time with Jamshedpur FC. He successfully adapted to his new position and was a key player for the team over five seasons.
Singh played a pivotal role in their League Shield-winning season under Owen Coyle during the 2021-22 season, appearing in 19 league matches, his highest in a single season. In total, he made 59 league appearances for Jamshedpur FC and 66 appearances across all competitions.
