Ahead of the upcoming season of the Indian Super League (ISL 2024-25), NorthEast United FC announced the contract extension of goalkeeper Mirshad Michu, who will continue with the team until 2025.
While last season was challenging, Mirshad has shown resilience and dedication, and the club firmly believes in his potential as a valuable member of our goalkeeping unit. Despite facing criticism, Mirshad has demonstrated his commitment to improving his game and contributing to the team. His experience and skills make him one of the best options to have as a backup goalkeeper. With Gurmeet and Mirshad, the goalkeeping unit is stable. Moreover, Mirshad plays a crucial role in maintaining team bonding and helps our foreign players settle in and feel at home, making him an invaluable part of the dressing room.
