Ahead of the upcoming season of the Indian Super League (ISL 2024-25), Punjab FC announced on Monday the signing of the talented midfielder Princeton Rebello. Rebello, who has been a standout performer in recent seasons, joins Punjab FC after spending the last two years with Odisha FC.
Hailing from Betalbatim, Goa, Rebello began his football journey with Velsao Pale Sports Club, where his potential was first recognized. In 2014, he made a significant move abroad, joining the U-15 team of Queens Park Rangers in England. His time in England was instrumental in his development, setting the stage for his future successes.

By mid-2016, Rebello returned to India and signed with Vasco Sports Club in the Goa Professional League. His impressive performances with Vasco caught the attention of FC Goa, leading to his inclusion in their development squad. Rebello’s talent was soon noticed by the Indian Arrows, and he was loaned out to them for the 2017-18 I-League season. His promising displays for the Arrows earned him a place in the India U-18 and U-19 teams.
The 2018-19 season marked a pivotal point in Rebello’s career when he was called up to FC Goa’s first team. That season, he was part of FC Goa’s Super Cup victory. He continued to impress the following season, making eight ISL appearances for the Gaurs and contributing to the team’s League Shield triumph. Rebello also had the opportunity to feature for FC Goa in the AFC Champions League. He was also part of FC Goa’s Durand Cup victory in 2021.

In the ISL 2020-21 season, Rebello’s role became more prominent as he established himself as a regular starter for FC Goa. His performances were instrumental in guiding the team to the semi-finals.
Rebello made a mid-season move to Odisha FC during the winter transfer window of the 2022-23 season. Although he didn’t make any ISL appearances due to injuries and fitness issues, he made a significant impact upon his return. Rebello played a crucial role in Odisha FC’s Super Cup campaign later that season, helping them secure their first-ever title.
The following season saw Rebello continue to shine under new head coach Sergio Lobera. He made 20 league appearances, registering one goal and one assist. His contributions were vital in leading Odisha FC to their first-ever semi-final appearance. Additionally, Rebello played in the AFC Cup, where Odisha FC topped their group and advanced to the knockout stages.
