Fans across the world rejoice as their football heartthrob, Neymar is back in the Paris Saint-Germain squad for Sunday’s Ligue 1 match against arch-rivals Marseille after serving a Covid-19 quarantine.
This Brazilian star was initially tested positive for COVID-19 on September 2, a virus that he had contracted during his holidays in Ibiza. The 28-year-old was quarantined in his home in Brazil for nearly three months.
Even though the footballer has recovered from this deadly pandemic, PSG coach Thomas Tuchel is quite sceptical whether Neymar, winger Angel di Maria, goalkeeper Keylor Navas or midfielder Leandro Paredes would be participating in the game at Parc des Princes.
“Who’s back? It’s Keylor, Angel di Maria, ‘Ney’ and ‘Leo’ (Paredes), as well as (new signing Alessandro) Florenzi,” PSG coach Tuchel said. He further added, “If I ask them if they want to play, their response will be yes. We’ll decide tomorrow. It’s a question of knowing whether they’ll start or finish the match for us. You don’t have to wait too long. If there is no risk, we’ll try.”
As per the reports, there were a total of six PSG players who were tested positive for COVID-19 during their trip to Ibiza.
