The sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2021) has been a real struggle for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Things look sorted when the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) received all the permission from UAE Government to host the PSL 2021 in Abu Dhabi but the board has to deals with another hurdle.
The PSL bound contingent was set to leave for Abu Dhabi today at 5 pm from Karachi via chartered flights. But the contingent is stuck as there is a delay in the grant of landing permission for the chartered flight from India and South Africa.
Indian nationals, who are involved in PSL are part of the broadcasting and production crew. South African nationals include the likes of Faf du Plessis, David Miller, Herschelle Gibbs along the technical staff.
Pakistan Board called an urgent meeting in the afternoon among its franchises and officials to discuss progress and the latest development on the PSL 2021.
After the meeting PCB released a statement which said that the Flights from Karachi and Lahore will depart today as per schedule, adding that the franchises were updated on the unanticipated delays in the grant of landing permissions for chartered flights from India and South Africa.
