All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Sunday announced that the ‘Revalidation process’ will apply to all coaches who are coaching in India and have License C or above.
Savio Medeira, Head of AIFF Coach Education and interim Technical Director chaired a meeting with the heads of different departments of the AIFF to discuss the finer points about the revalidation initiative for coaches, who will be required to revalidate their coaching licenses in the future.
The Revalidation process has been introduced last year, to ensure that coaches who complete a certain Diploma would get a coaching license to coach with a validity period, after which they would need to renew their licenses in order to continue coaching.
“The Revalidation process has been put into place last year, following the AFC Coaching Convention guidelines. Today’s meeting between the heads of the different departments was to update a document which we will put out with the details on the same,” said Medeira.
“The revalidation process will be applicable to all coaches who are coaching in India, and have C License or above,” he further stated.
With each license having a validity period of three years, the coaches will need to initiate their respective revalidation processes at the end of these terms.
