Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) yesterday struck it rich with Moose Clothing Company as its official clothing partner for 2023-27 bonding two of Sri Lanka’s main strengths cricket and fashion and apparel manufacturing.
The lively occasion last night at the Ramada Hotel was chaired by SLC’s General Secretary, Mohan de Silva flanked by Moose’s CEO, Hasib Omar and other top officials and Men’s Captain Dimuth Karunaratne and Women’s Captain, Chamari Athapaththu, also marked the launch of the ODI jersey by Moose for upcoming Sri Lanka versus Afghanistan Men’s ODI series with the Afghanistan team having arrived on Wednesday.
Welcoming the Moose Clothing Company officials with special mention of its CEO, Hasib Omar, the cricketers, Head Coach, Chris Silverwood, Manager, Mahinda Halangoda, the media and other VIPs present, SLC’s Hony General Secretary, Mohan de Silva, said that Moose which had won over other bidders carried the immense clout of matching SLC”s brand of cricket in the required quality of the cricketers’ attire.
“We see delighted to have a company of this magnitude and look forward to continue this relationship that would benefit SLC covering all ICC and ACC events,” he quipped while observing that ‘before this too Moose had supported SLC for the ICC World Cup in 2019.
