India won the first Test between West Indies and India of India Tour of West Indies 2019 played at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua. India registered 318 runs win over West Indies on the fourth day of the first Test also the first win in Test championships.

When India came to bat on the fourth day, India were having 250 runs lead, 7 wickets in hand, Kohli and Rahane on the crease and with 2 days remaining, India were on the top of the match. India were favourite before the match and it ended to be winning the match. India wrapped up West Indies inning for 100 runs, though there was 50 runs partnership for the last wicket. Star of the first inning Ishant Sharma took 3 tickets but it was Jasprit Bumrah who took 5 wickets in just 8 overs.
While this match also breaks some records, it was the biggest margin win for India (home or way). Virat Kohli also equal MS Dhoni for most Test wins as a captain, both had 27 wins but Virat Kohli did it in 47 matches which MS Dhoni took 60 matches. Also, Virat Kohli left Sourav Ganguly behind in most away Test wins for India captains, winning 12 away Test matches.
