England & Wales Cricket Boards (ECB) on Wednesday confirmed that 702 coronavirus tests were carried out and recorded negative between 3 June and 23 June
ECB released a statement, which read, “The England & Wales Cricket Board can confirm that 702 COVID-19 tests were carried out between 3 June and 23 June with several stakeholder groups working at the bio-secure venues of the Ageas Bowl and Emirates Old Trafford. These groups include players, support staff, match officials, ECB staff, venue staff and hotel staff.”
England will be playing West Indies in July and both teams are training and practising in the bio-secure environment. The first Test will begin on July 8 at the Rose Bowl Cricket Ground, Southampton. Later Pakistan will be touring England for three Test matches and three T20Is.
